This was our first visit to have lunch, it seems I’m only in Jacksonville when they are closedBUT what a great brisket and turkey sandwich we had! It was on Valentines Day and we got the last two sandwiches before they ran out! The staff was very friendly and we have been telling all our friends around Lake Palestine that they need to try it out! We’ll be back to try the ribs next time!

My wife and I stopped by JWs returning home from a business trip. Boy am I glad we did because it was a real treat! The food was excellent and well priced! The staff were great and even gave us some complementary extra including the cheesecake topped with brisket. It sounds strange but was probably the best cheesecake I’ve ever had. We will surely stop by next time we pass through town! Thanks JWs for a great time!

This is a BBQ gem! With its exceptional food, outstanding service, and inviting atmosphere, it's no wonder they have a consistent five star rating. I'm a brisket gal, and I'm always looking for that perfectly crusted, smokey, tender (with the perfect amount of marbling) 5 star brisket. I found it here in Jacksonville, TX! It's worth going out of your way! The staff was amazing! They even treated us with a plate of their new menu item, smoked short rib with a chimichurri sauce. It was delicious! Just like the brisket, it was tender, perfectly crusted, and had a great deep smokey flavor. The chimichurri sauce was a nice surprise of flavor I wasn't expecting. Next to the brisket, I would highly recommend adding it to your order.

I ordered the Brisket Sandwich with Coleslaw and drink. Food is really good. The guys behind the counter are really nice. Be careful because it's easy to miss as you drive by.

I have eaten at so many BBQ places all over the country. JWs is in the top 3 of any conversation. Brisket is perfectly done with an amazing black pepper bark. Sides are amazing. Mac and cheese is super creamy and cheesy. Greens are cooked perfectly and so flavorful. The elote you would think was made by an Abuelita in the back Squash and Zuchinni are seasoned to perfection. 10/10 highly recommend

Have visited J&W twice now. LOVE this place! They know how to make a chopped brisket sandwich!! I usually will not eat at BBQ restaurants b/c my husband's BBQ can't be beat. But, but my mom and dad strong-armed me into going. I will definitely return! Service and staff were also outstanding!
